DESCRIPTION
Salvia Cherry Lips is as the name suggests, a bi-colour of Cherry pink and white. It is in the series of the ‘Lips’ Salvias along with ‘Hot Lips‘ and Amethyst Lips
Strong blackcurrant scented leaves and masses of flowers perfect for a border or pot.
Grow in a sunny sheltered spot in well drained soil or in a container.
As with all salvias, this variety is ideal for drought tolerant planting schemes. A long flowering season and popular with pollinators, it is easy to see why Salvias are growing in popularity!
Salvias are very easy to care for in the garden. Trim plants in late summer for Autumn flowering and leave plants over winter. After winter trim back in the warmth of the spring in order to promote strong re-growth.
A bushy, evergreen sub-shrub with small, ovate, aromatic, mid-green leaves, often turning dark-red in autumn. In summer and autumn loose racemes of crimson and white flowers are borne.
Grow in light, moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or light dappled shade. It will reach a height and spread of 1m.
